L1 Terug naar de Maas - short interview (Dutch)

Hello, World!

Kasper and Rogier Jacobs are two brothers from Bergen, North Limburg. To get to know their province better, they decided to kayak 160 kilometers, from Eijsden to the Mookerheide, and created this mini series 'Terug over de Maas'. 🛶

A super cool concept (I am a big fan of the 4 series from our Southern neighbors). 🥾🎥

When they asled me to do an interview with Anita and me about the Draaksteken and the photobook Drakeblood

I said yes, of course in the summer of 2023. We did a longer interview talking about how the process from taking photographs to creating a photo book was completed. But they decided to cut it to the making & preparations of the theatre show Draaksteken itself. With the amount of time on local Dutch televisions they had to make a choice what to show & what you can’t show..
I understand their decisions because in a short time they also got obsessed with the story of Beesel.

Showing in the opening shot the Maas river in the backdrop of the village! They made some super cool drone and slow-motion shots!! 🔥🔥🔥
It’s beautiful to hear Anita talk about her family and the Draaksteken again. ♥️
